Surviving in a shootout or attack should be your first priority. You don't always have to make sure you kill someone, just be realistic and worry about your character's life.
Hey. I've been playing on LS-RP for about two years now and this is a very common thing. People are caring more about killing than surviving a shootout. It's simple - if you're in a gunfight, survival is the first priority, killing is the second. That's more realistic. Take cover, run if you don't have a chance, don't be a hero. Of course, if you're roleplay it properly (For example: BPL kills your family member and he was the only person that your character loved, you may not care about your life anymore and risk it.) it's fine, but if you're in a random shootout with Locotes or whatever, make sure you get out of there alive.
Just thought I should post it here so a couple of people reads and understands it. I'm not claiming that anyone isn't doing what I just mentioned, but for some people this will be handy.
